We were delighted to welcome to the Embassy the 2021 cohort of Fulbright Visiting Scholars, who will soon depart for a year of conducting research at some of America’s most prestigious universities. And special thanks to the recently returned Fulbright scholars, who joined the meeting to answer questions on living in the United States.
America’s flagship academic exchange program, #Fulbright every year awards 8,000 fellowships to study, teach, and conduct research in the United States. Since its inception in 1946, 400,000 people from more than 160 countries, including Azerbaijan, have participated. Among the alumni of this program are 40 current or former heads of state or government, 60 Nobel Prize laureates, and 89 Pulitzer Prize winners.
