Chargé d’Affaires Hugo Guevara and the U.S. Embassy community had the pleasure of meeting former NASA and current Axiom Space astronaut Peggy Whitson. Whitson holds records both among American astronauts and women astronauts for spending the most time in space, 675 days. She is also the first female commander of the International Space Station, and the first female commander of a private space mission. Whitson shared her groundbreaking career working as part of a multicultural team advancing scientific progress.
