U.S. Embassy Celebrates 25 Years of Diplomatic Relations with AzerbaijanIn honor of 25 Years of Diplomatic Relations with Azerbaijan, the U.S. Embassy hosted a Gala Night at the Mugham Center with a video recalling the long history of bilateral cooperation, remarks by Ambassador Cekuta and Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev, a reception, and a concert featuring Azerbaijani and American jazz with acclaimed artist Sevda Alekperzade and visiting American vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli, whose visit to Azerbaijan on April 10-17, 2017 the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan is pleased to sponsor.
Following her performance in Baku at the Gala Night, Gabrielle Stravelli and her group will perform at venues across Azerbaijan as part of the Embassy’s continued celebration of 25 Years of U.S. Azerbaijan diplomatic relations. Gabrielle Stravelli is very pleased to be back in Azerbaijan, having first visited Azerbaijan in November 2015 as part of the U.S. Department of State Arts Envoy program, which brings prominent American musicians to countries throughout the world to foster cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
