The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan is responsible for providing visa services to those seeking to enter the United States for a temporary period.
Applicants from outside Azerbaijan may apply for visas. However, you should be aware that language difficulties and interviewing officers’ unfamiliarity with local conditions in other countries may make it more difficult to demonstrate your qualifications for a visa here than in your home district or at a post designated for your application.
Any individuals with pending consular appointments who (1) were physically present within the People’s Republic of China, excluding the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau, or the Islamic Republic of Iran within the last 14 days, (2) are experiencing flu-like symptoms, or (3) believe they may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus, are strongly encouraged to postpone their appointments by at least 14 days. There is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid.
Notice: The Consular Section will be closed to the public on the last business day of the month as well as on local and U.S. holidays. Please see the holiday schedule at https://az.usembassy.gov/holiday-calendar/
If you have a need for urgent business or emergency travel, please contact the call center at (+994 12) 310 3010 or make the request via the online appointment system at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-az/niv/information/contact_us
Visiting the Embassy
Please be advised that if you arrive late for your scheduled visa appointment interview, you will not be guaranteed an interview that day. If you arrive more than one hour late you will be required to reschedule your appointment to the next available date via the regular online appointment system. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. For applicants who arrive on time, the average time spent at the Embassy for a routine nonimmigrant visa interview is between 2 to 3 hours, but in some cases the wait is shorter or longer than the average times. Arriving late will increase your wait time, as will coming unprepared for the interview. Please review our website carefully to ensure you arrive prepared.
